Go on a sacred journey to the grove of Tafi Atome, home of the Mona Monkeys. Experience the over 200 years of co-existence between the Mona Monkeys and the wonderful inhabitants of Tafi Atome. Enjoy a scenic drive from Accra to Ada on the eastern fringes of the Greater Accra Region. Visit the village of Azizanya on the estuary of the Volta River. The elders of the village will take you through their fishing culture and explain how they navigate the estuary, which is known for its strong undercurrent. Visit the local gin (Akpeteshie) brewery on one of the islands to learn about how this locally produced alcoholic beverage is brewed. Spend the remainder of the day engaged in water sporting activities.

Discover Ghana's capital city Accra with a drive through a blend of medieval and modern buildings. A visit to James and Ussher Towns walks you through the path of the British and their settlement in 1877. Visit the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, the final resting place of the first President of Ghana. Next door explore the art and craft market where you can use your bargaining skills to shop for carvings, baskets, drums, bags, beads, fabrics, sandals and sculptures. Drive through the 28th February Road to the Black Star Square, then visit Christiansborg Castle built by Denmark-Norway in 1660. Conclude at the Artists Alliance Gallery in La, an admirable space exhibiting Traditional and Contemporary African Art.

Early morning departure from Accra to the Central Region. Visit Kakum National Park with a stopover in the village of Abrafo to visit the stingless bees factory, which develops honey-based medicines and baby colonies. Continue to Kakum National Park — the attraction is the famous canopy walkway made up of seven bridges extending 330 metres, hanging 40 metres above the forest floor. Proceed to Elmina to visit this historic UNESCO World Heritage town and tour Elmina Castle, built by the Portuguese in 1482 as the first trading post on the Gulf of Guinea.

Enjoy a day at one of Ghana's most pristine beaches. Drive through the Ga village of Bortianor to the sandy beach of Bojo, located next to the Densu River Delta Ramsar site and the Atlantic Ocean. The beachfront offers a sense of serenity far away from the city centre. Spend the day engaging in water sporting activities while you enjoy a picnic lunch.

Enjoy an educational tour to Tafo in the Eastern Region to learn about Ghana's world-famous cocoa. Drive through the scenic and quaint villages of Akuapem with a brief stop at Aburi Botanical Gardens, established in 1890. At Tafo, visit the Cocoa Research Institute and learn about the processing of cocoa from planting through harvesting to production of chocolates and other cocoa products. The various species of cocoa and their uses will give you a rich insight into Ghana's most important crop.

Experience Accra and its environs as you enjoy a guided tour of the University of Ghana, Legon — Ghana's premier university, a distinctive building of Japanese architectural design set amongst elegant tree-lined gardens and constructed in 1948. Continue with a drive through the Akwapim Ridge to Aburi as you enjoy breathtaking views of the Accra Plains. Visit the Aburi Botanical Gardens, a miniature Kew garden built by the British in 1890. The tour also takes you to the Krobo land to visit the Cedi Beads Factory at Odumase Krobo to observe and participate in bead making.

Drive to the Ga Village of Sesemi near Abokobi to visit Frederiksgave Slave Plantation. The plantation served as a typical colonial plantation experimenting with various crops before being turned into a health resort for ill Danish public servants from Christiansborg Castle. Continue with a visit to the Du Bois Centre for Pan African Culture — a complex of four major buildings including the home of Dr. W.E.B. DuBois, the Marcus Garvey guest house, and the tomb of Dr. DuBois and his wife Shirley Graham DuBois.
