Continue to the village of Wli as you hike through the forest of Agumatsa Wildlife Sanctuary on a footpath crossing 9 streams to the stunning Wli Waterfalls. The forest inhabits a large colony of fruit bats, butterflies, birds, monkeys and baboons.

Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary & Waterfall Tour

Ada Estuary
Full DayEnjoy a scenic drive from Accra to Ada on the eastern fringes of the Greater Accra Region. Visit the village of Azizanya on the estuary of the Volta River. The elders of the village will take you through their fishing culture and explain how they navigate the estuary, which is known for its strong undercurrent. Visit the local gin (Akpeteshie) brewery on one of the islands to learn about how this locally produced alcoholic beverage is brewed. Spend the remainder of the day engaged in water sporting activities.

Accra City Tour
Half DayDiscover Ghana's capital city Accra with a drive through a blend of medieval and modern buildings. A visit to James and Ussher Towns walks you through the path of the British and their settlement in 1877. Visit the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, the final resting place of the first President of Ghana. Next door explore the art and craft market where you can use your bargaining skills to shop for carvings, baskets, drums, bags, beads, fabrics, sandals and sculptures. Drive through the 28th February Road to the Black Star Square, then visit Christiansborg Castle built by Denmark-Norway in 1660. Conclude at the Artists Alliance Gallery in La, an admirable space exhibiting Traditional and Contemporary African Art.

Visit Kakum National Park with a stopover in the village of Abrafo to visit the stingless bees factory, which develops honey-based medicines and baby colonies. Continue to Kakum National Park — the attraction is the famous canopy walkway made up of seven bridges extending 330 metres, hanging 40 metres above the forest floor. Proceed to Elmina to visit this historic UNESCO World Heritage town and tour Elmina Castle, built by the Portuguese in 1482 as the first trading post on the Gulf of Guinea.

Full DayEnjoy an educational tour to Tafo in the Eastern Region to learn about Ghana's world-famous cocoa. Drive through the scenic and quaint villages of Akuapem with a brief stop at Aburi Botanical Gardens, established in 1890. At Tafo, visit the Cocoa Research Institute and learn about the processing of cocoa from planting through harvesting to production of chocolates and other cocoa products. The various species of cocoa and their uses will give you a rich insight into Ghana's most important crop.
