The Mountain & Waterfall Tour

Ada Estuary
Enjoy a scenic drive from Accra to Ada on the eastern fringes of the Greater Accra Region. Visit the village of Azizanya on the estuary of the Volta River. The elders of the village will take you through their fishing culture and explain how they navigate the estuary, which is known for its strong undercurrent. Visit the local gin (Akpeteshie) brewery on one of the islands to learn about how this locally produced alcoholic beverage is brewed. Accra City Tour

A visit to James and Ussher Towns walks you through the path of the British and their settlement in 1877. Visit the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, the final resting place of the first President of Ghana. Drive through the 28th February Road to the Black Star Square, then visit Christiansborg Castle built by Denmark-Norway in 1660. Eco Historic Tour

Visit Kakum National Park with a stopover in the village of Abrafo to visit the stingless bees factory, which develops honey-based medicines and baby colonies. Continue to Kakum National Park — the attraction is the famous canopy walkway made up of seven bridges extending 330 metres, hanging 40 metres above the forest floor. Proceed to Elmina to visit this historic UNESCO World Heritage town and tour Elmina Castle, built by the Portuguese in 1482 as the first trading post on the Gulf of Guinea.

The Cocoa Story
